Apologetic Sound Bites: ‘How can you believe in miracles?’

18 January 2012

The last in the apologetic sound bite series, the question ‘How can you believe in miracles?’

1. Science explores natural causes. It can neither confirm nor refute supernatural causes.

2. Just because our generation has not observed unambiguous miracles, doesn’t mean they never happened in the past.

3. Think about why someone doesn’t believe. Why do they chose to live without God?

4. Make the resurrection of Jesus a test case for your discussion. Ask how people account for the rise of Christianity with its central belief in resurrection.

This material is adapted from a Porterbrook Learning module.
